Programming Networked Voice Mail

If upgrading a system without Networked Voice Mail to the latest software version, see Upgrading and Adding Networked Voice Mail.

Before You Begin

Gather the following information for each node on the network/cluster:

Programming

Perform these steps on each node in the network:

  1. License and Options Selection form:
    Enable the Voice Mail Networking option.

  2. If not already done, program voice mail ports and a voice mail hunt group. See Program Embedded Voice Mail for details.

  3. System Options Assignment form:
    If not already programmed, enter the system name of the node in the System Name field.
    Enter the IP address of the default E-mail server in the E-mail Server field.

  4. Networked Voice Mail Servers form:
    Enter the information for each voice mail server in the network/cluster.

To configure and maintain network voice mail user directory entries, either RDN Synchronization must be supported by the network, or you must use OPS Manager.
