When upgrading a system without Networked Voice Mail to the latest software version, use the appropriate procedure below.
If your system voice mail was managed with OPS Manager before upgrading, you don't need to do anything special before adding Networked Voice Mail.
If your system voice mail was not managed using OPS Manager before upgrading, follow the steps below to ensure that the voice mail user data from each node is collected properly by OPS Manager.
Note: See the OPS Manager online help for details on OPS Manager procedures.
Upgrade OPS Manager to Release 6.9 or later.
Upgrade each 3300 ICP node of the network/cluster to Release 5.0 or later.
Program Networked Voice Mail on each node.
In OPS Manager, create a MAC Change template.
In OPS Manager, perform a full collection. Each node's telephone directory data is collected by OPS Manager.
On each node, export the Voice Mailbox Configuration form data to a comma separated variable (.csv) file.
In OPS Manager, modify each .csv data file to a format compatible with the MAC Scheduler (you can also use a spreadsheet program to combine all the .csv files into a single file before modifying it).
In OPS Manager, schedule a MAC operation for each .csv file.
From OPS Manager, perform a telephone directory synchronization. This propagates the voice mail user information to all nodes.
