Set Replacement

Set replacement is not allowed while a user is logged in. In the event that a logged in set fails and requires replacement, you must use the BUSY RESET command to log out the logged in user before replacing the set. To log out the user, reset the hot desk user and, if necessary, the hot desk set.

Syntax: BUSY RESET <Extension number>

For example, to log out a user with extension 6209, enter: BUSY RESET 6209. The system responds with: Busy Reset completed.

Alarms

Alarm thresholds are not affected by out of service hot desk user or phone DNs.

Hot Desk Remote Logout is supported on all devices that allow feature access codes.

Assign 5235 IP Phones to a hot desk enabled class of service before you register the phone to the controller.  If you register a new 5235 IP Phone with a default class of service and then reassign it to a hot desk enabled class of service, you must reboot the controller.

If you register the 5235 IP Phone to the controller first and then assign it to a hot desk enabled class of service, the user appliance exhibits the following conditions:

If the above problems are encountered, the hot desk options were most likely enabled in the class of service after registering 5235 IP Phone. Reboot the controller.
