For 3300 ICP network or cluster elements that are running Release 6.0 or later software, use System Data Synchronization (SDS) to start sharing data among the elements, and if necessary, perform a sync operation to make the required data consistent across all the elements. See Cluster Configuration Notes for a list of the forms that you need to program with the same data.
SDS supports the sharing and synchronization of
system data among the elements
resilient user and device data between primary and secondary controllers.
telephone directory data.
You can manage the cluster directory numbers either from the OPS Manager application or through SDS using Remote Directory Number Synchronization. However, you can not use both methods together.
If the following conditions apply to the cluster:
You manage the telephone directory for the cluster using OPS Manager, and
The element telephone directories currently contain entries,
then, perform the following procedure from the OPS Manager application:
Note: On new installations, where the telephone directories of the elements are blank, the following steps are not required.
If OPS Manager will be used to manage the telephone directories:
Identify the accurate corporate directories (i.e., the directories or directory that accurately reflects the network).
Collect the telephone directories from each element. The OPS Manager station creates separate distribution lists for each element.
Create a network distribution list from the element distribution lists.
From the Editor window, use the search and change function to remove all unwanted directory numbers from the network distribution list (e.g., ACD agent identification numbers).
Distribute the changes to each element by performing a Changes Propagate.
Proceed to Program ARS Routes Between the Elements.
