You manage the network or cluster directory numbers either
from Enterprise Manager using the OPS Manager application, or
via SDS through the Remote Directory Number (RDN) Synchronization feature.
Note: You cannot use both OPS Manager and RDN Synchronization together in the same network or cluster to manage the element telephone directories.
OPS Manager allows you to define the cluster directory by grouping the directories of each cluster element into a Portable Directory Group (PDG). You can then collect the telephone directories at each element in the cluster from OPS Manager and consolidate then into a single telephone directory. You add, delete, or move telephone users on the OPS Manager station and then distribute these changes to the telephone directories of the individual elements.
You can migrate a network or cluster of 3300 ICPs to support the synchronization of telephone directory entries across all the element databases. If Remote Directory Number (RDN) Synchronization is enabled, any telephone directory entries that you add, modify, or delete at an element are automatically distributed as shared data updates to the other elements in the network via System Data Synchronization (SDS).
