Program R2 Trunks

Before You Begin

Ensure that:

• an R2 Network Services Unit is programmed.

• Interconnect Restriction and Intercept Handling are programmed for each trunk.

Programming

To program R2 trunks:

1. Link Descriptor Assignment form
   Enter "A" or "B" in the Address for Message Control field.
   Enter "ISDN NODE" in the Integrated Digital Access field.

2. Digital Link Assignment form
   Enter the Digital Link Descriptor Number programmed in step 1.

3. Class of Service Options Assignment form
   Set the ANI/DNIS ISDN Number Delivery Trunk field to "Yes".

4. MSDN-DPNSS-DASS II Trunk Circuit Descriptor Assignment form
   Select "R2" from the Card Type field.
   Enable "Incoming" or "Outgoing" from the Dual Seizure Priority field.
   Select "Local Office" from the Far End Connection field.
   Enable "MSDN-DPNSS" from the Signaling Protocol field.

5. Trunk Service Assignment form
   Enter the COS number programmed in step 3.
   Complete the Non-dial in Trunks Answer Point fields.
   Complete the Dial in Trunks: Incoming Digit Modification fields.

6. Digital Trunk Assignment form
   Enter a Trunk Number, Trunk Service Number (from step 5), Circuit Descriptor (from step 4), and Interconnect Number.

7. Go to IMAT to complete programming.
