Program DASS II Trunks

Before You Begin

Ensure that:

• a Universal Network Services Unit is programmed.

• Interconnect Restriction and Intercept Handling is programmed for each trunk.

Programming

To program DASS II trunks:

1. Link Descriptor Assignment form
   Enter "A" or "B" in the Address for Message Control field.
   Enter "DASSII" in the Integrated Digital Access field.

2. Digital Link Assignment form
   Enter the Digital Link Descriptor Number programmed in step 1.

3. Class of Service Options Assignment form
   Set the ANI/DNIS ISDN Number Delivery Trunk field to "Yes".

4. MSDN-DPNSS-DASS II Trunk Circuit Descriptor Assignment form
   Select "Universal E1" or "CEPT" from the Card Type field.
   Enable "Outgoing" from the Dual Seizure Priority field.
   Far End Connection field is not applicable for DASS II
   Enable "DASS II" from the Signaling Protocol field.

5. Trunk Service Assignment form
   Enter the COS number programmed in step 3.
   Complete the Non-dial in Trunks Answer Point fields.
   Complete the Dial in Trunks: Incoming Digit Modification fields.

6. Digital Trunk Assignment form
   Complete the Trunk Number, Trunk Service Number (from step 5), Circuit Descriptor (from step 4), and Interconnect Number fields.

7. Network Synchronization form (optional)
   Assign a source connection to a Network Source Clock.
