Broker's Call lets you temporarily suspend a telephone call while you originate a new call. Once the new call has been established, you can alternate between the two calls. Each call is private; neither person can overhear your conversation with the other.
Broker's Call is only available on some phones; see Feature Availability below for more information.
When enabled, this feature prevents two parties from being connected if the phone that has placed one of them on hold goes on-hook.
Enable Broker's Call in the phone's Class of Service Options Assignment.
If applicable, complete the Flash Type (normal), Low Flash Timer, High Flash Timer, and Ground Button fields in the ONS/OPS Circuit Descriptor Assignment form.
If applicable, reference the Circuit Descriptor Number in the Analog Device Assignment form.
Assign a code to Call Hold - Retrieve in the Feature Access Code Assignment form.
See the Feature-Phone Matrix (PDF or Microsoft Excel version) for a list of phones that can use this feature.
