MNMS

The MNMS features provide support for the OPS Manager application:

MNMS: Configuration Management I

The MNMS: Configuration Management I feature supports telephone directory management within OPS Manager. It provides the user with central management of the telephone directory information, including location and department information, on the managed elements in the network.

MNMS: Configuration Management III

The MNMS: Configuration Management III feature supports the following OPS Manager functionality:

• automated software upgrades on LIGHT systems in the network

• scheduled automatic database backups

• automatic data saves and data restores.

MNMS: Database Access

The MNMS: Database Access feature supports the following OPS Manager functionality:

• network moves, adds, and changes

• single network system support

• moves, adds, and changes templates.

MNMS/SNMP Fault Management I

The MNMS/SNMP Fault Management I feature supports alarm management within OPS Manager, including the following features:

• Viewing network alarms

• Alarm paging

• Demand paging

• History reports.

If you have an SNMP-compatible Network Management Station, the MNMS/SNMP Fault Management I feature also supports access to proprietary Management Information Base (MIB) definitions for alarms management (including enterprise-specific traps).
